backstreet boys concert

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to write about my friday night.. I attended the backstreet boys concert at Accer Arena Olympic Park! So me and my sisters got there abit late.. But it was ok i guess because Brian McFadden (i think) was the opening act and the crowd didnt seem interested at all. All the seats were taken it was a booked out show. The crowd kept doing mexican waves it looked so kool because everyone paticipated in it. we literally waited an hour and a half before the boys came on! But it was worth the wait! They were only doing one show here, im assuming this might be their last tour/concert. Anywhom 10 minutes before the backstreet boys came on the crowd started chanting and stomping there feet while clapping 'BACKSTREET BOYS" They came out and there was a boxing ring and they were all dressed in there boxing gear and eye of the tiger song started playing in the background. they then opened up with there smash hit song "Larger than Life" Everyone got up to start dancing and singing. It really boosted the crowd up.. Throughout the night tkhe boys interacted with the crowd and asked us questions. They played quite abit of there classics which was amazing. They sound really good live. They didnt lip sync at all which was awesome. the last song they played was "backstreets back" After the show we brought a backstreet boys poster which cost 10 bucks. My sisters and I enjoyed the night.. thats all weve been talking about this weekend and weve been searching on youtube the clips..so we can reminsce hehe. for clips look on youtube and type in the search box "backstreet boys sydney concert 08" theres quite a few videos from that night

happy chinese new year

happy chinese new year!! chuc mung nam moi (in vietnamese) gong xi fa chai (in chinese) today is the lunar new year for the chinese, korean and vietnamese. this year is the year of the rat which is also known as the former wu zi.

There is a ancient story that describes how the animals were assigned to the cycle of years. Long time ago, the Lord Buddha summoned all the animals together to assign each of them a year. When the cat heard the news, he let his friend, the Rat know about it and the two animals decided to go together the next day. However, the next day, the Rat did not wake up the cat who being a cat and loving to nap, slept through the morning. Therefore, the cat did not make it to the assembly on time and did not get a year. This is why there is no year of the cat and this is also why cats hate Rats.

The Rat, on the other hand, made it first there and received the first year. He did not achieve this without trickery either. He knew that a small animal like him would not be able to compete with the others, so he begged the ox to let him ride on its head. The ox consented and they went together.

Just when they were about to arrive, the rat jumped off the ox’s head and got through the finish line first. This is why the year of the Rat is the first year in the cycle and the year of the ox is the second.

The Chinese New Year celebrations are marked by visits to relatives and friends, known as "new-year visits" New clothings are usually worn to signify a new year. The colour red is liberally used in all decorations. Red packets are given to juniors and children by the married and elders.

Before the chinese new year celebrations occur thorough cleaning throughout the house. It is believed the cleaning sweeps away the bad luck of the previous year and makes their homes ready for good luck. Purchasing new clothing, shoes and receiving a hair-cut also symbolize a fresh start (though, it may be considered bad luck among some.)

The Rat People being the first sign of the Chinese zodiac, are leaders, pioneers and conquerors. The Rat symbolizes such character traits as wit, imagination and curiosity. Rats have keen observation skills and with those skills, they are able to deduce much about other people and other situations. They are charming, passionate, charismatic, practical and hard working. Rat people endowed with great wisdom.

chinese new year festival will be held at warwick farm racecourse. there are many stalls to choose from including food, games music just to name a few. celebrations will start on friday and finish on sunday with fireworks.

Manic 08

Hey All,

Just thought id talk about my Saturday night outing. I went to a rave named Planet Manic at Sydney Show grounds. The music was excellent and the atmosphere was awesome. The genre they played was happy hardcore & hardcore, Manic differs from other big raves as it is the only one that plays that specific kind of music. I previously posted up the dj line ups so i wont be going into that but lou lou the vocalist sounded fantastic live. It was worth the money! My friends and I danced the night away and we also explored the other two rooms which played hardstyles. All in all it was a good night! ive posted up a few photos of my friends and I. Enjoy and i hope to see you at the next rave HARDWARS!! I will be putting up info as soon as possible about hardwars until then smileee=]
