OFFICIAL SCHOOL START & ANZAC DAY

G'day from Step One College

After orientation on Monday, all new students will start "officially" today and will meet their new teacher(s) and classmates.

Tomorrow (Wednesday, 25/04), there is Anzac Day, a public Holiday in Australia. School and the majority of the shops will be closed.

Anzac Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. The soldiers in those forces quickly became known as Anzacs, and the pride they soon took in that name endures to this day. If you are interested in reading more about the article.
