anzac day


The ANZAC tradition - the ideals of courage, endurance and mateship that are still relevant today was established on 25 April 1915 when the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula.

ANZAC Day begins with the Dawn Service at 4:00am at the Cenotaph in Martin Place.

Other events on ANZAC Day activities include:

9:00am ANZAC Day March starting at Martin Place
following along George Street and Bathurst Street before finishing at Hyde Park.
12:30pm Commemorative service at the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park South.
5:30pm Sunset Service Ceremony at The Cenotaph in Martin Place.

Other ANZAC Day services are scheduled in Pyrmont.
