Australia's Biggest Morning Tea is one of The Cancer Council's major fundraising events that provides an opportunity to help reduce the impact of cancer in the community.

It also gives supporters, their friends and family the opportunity to get together and enjoy themselves by hosting their own morning tea.

The idea behind the event is simple - a host registers to hold a morning tea, invites their friends, family or work colleagues. Everyone who attends is encouraged to donate to the cause, which helps The Cancer Council fund research, prevention and support services for patients and families such as the Cancer Council Helpline (13 11 20).

The official date for this year's Australia's Biggest Morning Tea is Thursday 22 May 2008, but teas can be held all throughout May.
